On May 16, 2019, Accessibility New York City hosted a meetup entitled "Making Museums More Accessible: How Do We Overcome Barriers to Content?" Presenter Aurélia Fleury, Director of Tactile Studio, discussed the importance of multi-sensory engagement in creating accessible exhibitions in museum settings. Through inspiring examples of European and Canadian projects, she explained the singularity of the sensory and emotional approach as a solution for developing a more accessible and inclusive exhibition.

Presenter Eric Bailey, designer at thoughtbot with a focus on accessible and inclusive design, described how important focus styles are in establishing a comprehensive design system. He discussed the intersection of WCAG compliance and Inclusive Design, as well as new focus-related CSS selectors and how to integrate them into your code.

On December 4, 2018, Accessibility NYC hosted a meetup entitled "Pair Programming: Better Than Adderall." Presenter Matt Kleiman, software engineer at Pivotal Labs, described how his Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and other learning disabilities deterred his success on traditional software development teams.  He shared how the process of pair programming provides him with a feedback loop for his thoughts and a partner to hold him accountable eight hours a day, providing him with a disciplined structure for operating and serving as the perfect counterweight to inevitable distractions.
