On May 16, 2019, Accessibility New York City hosted a meetup entitled “Making Museums More Accessible: How Do We Overcome Barriers to Content?” Presenter Aurélia Fleury, Director of Tactile Studio, discussed the importance of multi-sensory engagement in creating accessible exhibitions in museum settings. Through inspiring examples of European and Canadian projects, she explained the singularity of the sensory and emotional approach as a solution for developing a more accessible and inclusive exhibition.
