On April 27, 2021, Accessibility New York City hosted a Meetup entitled “Accessing Innovation.”

Presenter Cat Noone — a product designer, co-founder, and CEO of Stark — the startup making the world’s software accessible, and in turn compliant, by providing integrated tools that live inside the software designers and developers know and love. Her focus is on bringing to life products and technology that maximize the way everyone can access the world’s latest innovations.

When she’s not working or spending time with family, you can find Cat writing, being a bookworm, exploring the world, and rock climbing. Her work has been featured in FastCompany, Communication Arts, TechCrunch, Mic., Net Mag, Offscreen, and The Next Web; and used by teams at Adobe, Disney, Pfizer, Microsoft, Nike, and more.

She provided an overview of the following:

  • The misconceptions about accessibility
  • Bottlenecks in the product development process
  • Tips to getting started right now
  • How organizations profit when all of their customers benefit
