Prior engagements
Retail accessibility
We served as experts on Gil v. Winn-Dixie. It addressed the question of whether websites are considered "places of public accommodation" under Title III of the ADA, and thus required to be accessible to individuals with disabilities. In 2017, a federal judge in Florida ruled in favor of Gil, marking the first trial verdict under the ADA concerning website accessibility.
Map accessibility
We worked on a case involving digital map accessibility for the world's most widely used map platforms including Google Maps, eSRI, and arcGIS.
Virtual reality accessibility
We worked on a case about how captions can be applied to spatial media such as virtual reality.
Talks on legal and technology issues
Equal Entry records weekly talks named A11yInsight about what's happening in the legal and technology community. We discuss the accessibility of pharmacies, restaurants, hotels, universities, and more. We discuss technologies like kiosks, websites, and mobile applications.
