On January 22, 2019, Accessibility NYC hosted a meetup entitled “Time Traveler’s Guide to Accessibility Mechanics.” Presenter Léonie Watson, accessibility engineer and Director of TetraLogical discussed the changing landscape of accessibility mechanics in the advent of the Accessibility Object Model (AOM). She charted the evolution of accessibility mechanics from HTML to ARIA and Javascript before outlining the utility of the Accessibility Object Model (AOM).
