Accessibility Assessment & Response
Understand, fix and document your response to an accessibility concern, with initial findings in 5 to 7 business days.
A fast, structured response to an accessibility concern
Accessibility Assessment & Response helps your organization quickly understand, prioritize, fix, verify and document its response to an accessibility concern. It is built for organizations that have received an ADA demand letter or another accessibility complaint. It works just as well if you have no complaint and want to get ahead of accessibility before one arrives.
Initial findings and a prioritized action plan arrive within 5 to 7 business days, so you have something to act on right away. By the end, you have clear, dated documentation of your accessibility assessment, the fixes you made, the training your team completed, and how you respond to feedback.
Assess, act, verify
- Assess. Our IAAP-certified specialists test the pages and user flows that matter most, with automated tools, manual review and assistive technology. Then we rank what to fix first.
- Act. Your developers make the fixes. Our specialists answer their questions and review their approach as they go.
- Verify. We retest the changes and document which issues were resolved, which remain, and which depend on a third-party vendor.
Two ways to start
- You received a demand letter. The letter becomes the backbone of the work. We trace each allegation to the functionality it affects, test it, and follow it through to a finding, a fix and a retest. Your attorney gets a summary table that follows the letter point by point.
- You have no demand letter. We choose your critical user flows by business importance and accessibility risk, and test them against WCAG.
Choose your level of support
-
Assessment
Assess, with an action plan. Includes a 30-day support window from kickoff.
- A prioritized accessibility action plan. The most important issues, ranked by their impact on users, their relevance to the demand letter, how widely they appear, how critical the functionality is to your business, and the effort to fix them.
- A third-party escalation package. For each barrier in a vendor's product that you cannot fix yourself: the affected functionality, the impact on users, the relevant WCAG criterion, the steps to reproduce it, and a ready-to-send email asking the vendor to fix it.
- A recorded screen reader session. One hour of a blind screen reader user completing tasks on your site, showing clearly where things work and exactly where the barriers are.
- Accessibility 101. A designated employee completes Equal Entry's foundational digital accessibility course and earns a certificate.
-
Assessment + Remediation Support
Assess, act and verify. Support and retesting run through day 60 from kickoff.
- Everything in Assessment.
- Remediation support. Our specialists advise your developers and answer their questions as they make the fixes. Your team makes the changes, and we retest them.
- A Remediation Progress Verification Memo. What we found, what you changed, what we retested, which issues were resolved and which remain, third-party issues, the dates of testing, and the scope we tested.
- Developer training. A designated developer completes Equal Entry's foundational developer course.
Most organizations responding to an active accessibility claim choose Assessment + Remediation Support, because it documents not only what was found, but also what was corrected.

What's in scope
Each engagement covers a fixed set of representative pages or screens and critical user flows. We choose them with you, based on the demand letter, how important they are to your business, and their accessibility risk. Typical choices include:
- Your home page and one product or service page.
- The global navigation, header and footer.
- Your contact or lead generation flow.
- A checkout, reservation or application flow.
- Pages or components named in a demand letter.
If a demand letter lists more pages than the scope covers, we test a representative sample and document why we chose it. Additional sites or subdomains, more pages, and a full WCAG conformance evaluation are separate engagements. If you need an Accessibility Conformance Report, see our comprehensive accessibility audit.
The 5 to 7 business days start when we have access to your site and your materials, such as credentials and the demand letter, or at the kickoff call, whichever is later.
Working alongside your attorney
Your attorney interprets the legal allegations, advises on strategy, decides what is shared with opposing counsel, and judges legal sufficiency. Equal Entry performs the technical assessment, identifies the barriers, recommends fixes, documents the fixes we observe, and trains your team.
Our reports document accessibility work within the tested scope. They are not a certification of website-wide ADA or WCAG compliance, and we do not represent them as privileged. If your counsel wants the work done under their direction, we arrange that with them.
Start with a conversation
Tell us what prompted your accessibility concern and what is driving your timeline. We will confirm the scope, the level of support that fits, and when you can expect your first findings.
