For digital accessibility advocates, outreach is essential. Since our inception, Equal Entry has committed significant time and resources to accessibility education. As an example of our work, check out the video we shared about using Cortana and speech recognition together on Windows 10.
Thomas Logan, Equal Entry CEO, was recently invited to give a presentation at the New York Code and Design Academy. During his talk titled “Virtual Reality and Accessibility,” Thomas shared insights he has gained from working in the accessibility field for nearly 20 years. His presentation began with stories of his early work in desktop accessibility, and moved forward through the ages of laptops, mobile devices, and virtual reality headsets.
In our experience, many companies want to support greater accessibility, but they simply don’t know where to begin. Outreach and education for company developers helps them understand accessibility so it’s second nature to them, and it doesn’t seem so difficult anymore.
