Register for “Through the Eyes of a Deaf Person” Webinar

Meryl Evans stands next to an artistic illustration of Forth Worth, Texas

Topic: Through the Eyes of a Deaf Person

Meryl’s first encounter with captions came in 1983 when she received a closed-caption decoder. Because she depends on captions to follow the video, she has seen the best and worst of captions. Fast forward decades later, Meryl’s digital marketing career has come in handy in educating people about captioning video calls, the benefits of captioning videos, and captioning videos well.

In between content about captioning videos and digital marketing, Meryl would share her experience living life as a deaf person. She invites people to ask questions. And these turned out to be highly engaging posts because they help people understand.

This webinar will cover the following:

  • A Brief Overview of Being Deaf
  • Technology for the Deaf / HoH
  • Happy and Crappy Captioning: The Good, Bad, and Ugly of Captioning Videos

In this webinar, Meryl will walk through a variety of examples and share stories. And she’ll open the door for questions. Anything goes!
