Thomas Logan, Equal Entry CEO, recently delivered his “Accessibility and Virtual Reality” presentation to the Bay Area Accessibility and Inclusive Design group in San Francisco.
Logan highlighted successful applications available in the VR/AR marketplace that illustrate accessibility best practices via custom solutions, as well as popular VR/AR applications that currently fall short of accessibility guidelines. His presentation focused on what could be achieved via the specification of various non-existent accessibility application programming interfaces (APIs) on the current dominant development platforms. It also highlighted practical considerations for the universal design of hardware interfaces that are involved in these experiences.
If you missed Logan’s presentation in San Francisco, you can catch it in New York City. Logan will deliver the presentation on July 11th to Accessibility NYC, and the presentation will be streamed live.
